I have ten Cockatiels. Eight parents and two babies. The babies are four weeks old or about a month old. I have two lutinos, two pied, five normal grey, and one pearl. seven are totally tame, two are almost tame, and one isn't tame at all. Here are the names and colors:
Skydancer-Normal Grey male
Chopper-Normal Grey male
Bristol- Normal Grey female
Loudon- Normal Grey female
Archie or Art-Pied male
Emmett- Pied male
Rosalie- Lutino Female
Alice- Lutino Female
Edward/Deanna-Pearl baby
Jasper/Esme-Normal Grey baby.
Jasper/Esme is the baby that is promised out so his/her new owner can name him/her anything that is just what I will call him/her until that time comes. Art likes to try to feed Loudon who is his daughter. I will post their stories later. That is pretty much all I can say about ten of my "babies"
Update: The little grey baby went to her/his new home. We still have ten since one of my mom's friends gave us one. His name is Bert and he is a lutino-pied cockatiel. We separated Bert and Alice to see if they will have babies. Sky, Chopper, Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, Edward/Deanna, Loudon, and Bristol are doing fine. Archie is looking okay minus missing more feathers on the top of his head, poor guy. Him and his daughter, Loudon, are still hanging together. Loudon is starting to attach herself to Chopper and Emmett a little more.
As for the stories.
Archie/Loudon: Art and Loudon were part of a group of four cockatiels who were put in a single petco box and abandoned in front of this office building. Art and his two daughters, Loudon and Cassie, were in there with a single male bird. There was no cage with them and a note that stated that they got Art, Loudon, and Cassie off of Craigslist recently just for their cage and the single male was just another bird they didn't want anymore. So, the lady who found them put an ad on Craigslist for Archie and his daughters since the single male had already found a home by the time I found the ad. We emailed back and forth and found out Cassie had a broken wing that wasn't healed right, a broken toe that was left untreated, and the bottom left half of her beak was broken off. She kept Cassie because of this and we took Archie and Loudon home. Archie is bald on the back of his head and those feathers will never grow back. Loudon is completely bald under her wings those too will never grow back.
Sky: We got Skydancer2 about three/four weeks after Skydancer1 died. We got him as a companion for Cloud. A female cockatiel who we rescued. He is the father of Edward/Deanna, and the little Grey baby. Him and Bristol are the proud parents.
Chopper: He came from St.Francis. he had a girlfriend with him. Her name was Sugar. about a month to four months after we got them Sugar passed away. Chopper is one of the friendliest birds I'll ever meet.
I will post more stories later.
